Abstract

Marcela has explored different materials, tools and supports in her career, giving space for the characteristics of each of these to express freely.

The expression of technique and color prevails in her abstract artworks. 

Her extensive experimentation consists of the use of acrylics, gels, dyes, extracts, oil painting, inks, enamels and varnishes in different supports such as screen printing meshes, veils, imitation leather, different types of fabrics and acrylics, among others.  

Inspired by Pollock’s work, Marcela paints on the floor in large formats, which allows the work to be traversed in 360º degrees, with the aim of achieving greater freedom of the gesture as well as subsequent editing.
